Probyn Project

This luxury Cinema was designed from the onset with zero compromise. The client wanted a befitting Home Cinema to compliment his magnificent 4,000Sqm mansion in the heart of Ikoyi, Lagos. For this reason, he contracted renowned Contractor – Julius Berger this turnkey project. Being that the client has a large family, the brief was to fit in a seating capacity of not less than 12 people. To achieve this, we needed to design custom seats with sizes which would fit this capacity however, not compromise comfort. Three rows of seating fit this room with a Dolby Atmos 9.4.6 Immersive audio configuration. A total of fifteen(15) Bowers & Wilkins speakers to drive surround and height channels plus four(4) B&W Subwoofers for audiophile bass management.

Of course, this room could only be complete with a Trinnov 24 channel AV processor which is the only processor at the time to process 24 discrete channels of cinematic audio. Another very important feature of this room is the exclusive Screen Innovation Transformer 150” projection Screen. This very expensive investment, delivered a projection screen which transformed to a different aspect ratio with it’s entire screen frame. It was a jaw-dropping sight to witness the screen seamlessly transform from native 2.35:1 aspect ratio to TV 16:9 when he needed to watch the soccer premiership.

This Cinema room is one project we would not forget anytime in the future for it’s budget and technology finesse.
